Although we recommend letting the backup complete (green icon) before unplugging the drive, the software is designed to allow removing the drive while backing up without trouble.
USBtoCloud is designed to automatically backup files from your portable (external) USB device, but if you want to back up files from another location (such as your PC’s internal drive or a network drive) then just copy them into your USBtoCloud drive and they will be automatically backed up.

You should be able to see USBtoCloud icon in the notification area (system tray). When the icon is green, all files from the drive are backed up. When the icon is spinning blue, USBtoCloud is currently backing up your files.
